Academic Affairs

Greetings! I am excited about your visit of the Academic Affairs section of the Saint Augustine's University website. It is a pivotal time in the history of the University and just think, you can become a part of it! As you review the various Schools on the website, pay particular attention to the fact that we are student-centered and focus on developing a complete scholar. I am very proud of our Episcopal roots and the fact that students built our University Chapel. If you become a student here, you will learn more about our history and our renowned alumni. I want to share with you some initiatives of which we are especially pleased:

  • Our partnership with the Capital Broadcasting Company/WRAL – TV. We offer various Media and Mass Communication major programs where students get hands-on experiences in our own radio and television stations on campus;
  • Our Confucius Classroom and China program where we have sent more than 30 faculty and students to study abroad in Nanjing, China;
  • Our Public Health Science Incentive program where new students that major in this area can receive up to $2,500 in scholarship allowance;
  • Our Reserve Officer Training Corp (ROTC) program in which you may train to become an Army officer while pursuing your undergraduate degree; and
  • Our science students' participation with internships and research experiences with various graduate schools and governmental agencies.

These are just a few of the many opportunities that you can become a part of as a student at Saint Augustine's University. We have a world-class faculty at the University that stands ready to support and embrace you as a scholar. We have various support services available to ensure a successful matriculation. So, enjoy this site and contact us with questions that you may have. I look forward to meeting you personally.

With "Falcon Pride," I remain

Sincerely yours,
