Honors College students have several options for participation in the Honors College. Each has it's own requirements and benefits.

 

Honors College Certificate

Honors College Scholar

Honors College Baccalaureate  

I. 3.4 or above cumulative   G.P.A.

II. Full participation in   the Honors College for four semesters. Semester activities consist of: - two scholarly lecture, - two cultural events, - 18 hours community service, - 2 leadership roles.

III. Four semesters of   Honors Seminar

IV. A minimum of 18 hours of   Honors Coursework with grades of “C” or higher, including one research course  or independent study or study abroad          

V. Portfolio

 

I. 3.5 cumulative G.P.A.

II. Full participation in the Honors College for six semesters. Semester activities consist of: - two   scholarly lectures, - two cultural events, - 18 hours community service, - 3 or more leadership   roles.

III. Six semesters of Honors   Seminar

IV. A minimum of 24 hours of   Honors Coursework with grades of “C” or higher, including two of the following: -Undergraduate Research -Honors Independent Study -Honors Research Mentoring -Honors Thesis (HON 400)

V. Portfolio

 

I. 3.5 cumulative GPA

II. Honors General Education   Core /TEP(minimum of 15 hours); Departmental   Honors Courses (minimum of 9 hours); Global Awareness: Second Year of Foreign Language or   Elementary Chinese I & II (6 hours)

III. Intellectual Inquiry :

Honors Seminars (100, 200,   & 300 levels); Honors Research Seminars; Honors Junior Prep Honors Thesis and Defense

IV. Student Engagement Every Year -Academic Bowl; -Debate; -Model UN; -Mock Trial

V. Experiential Learning:

Community Service/Service   Learning; Leadership Lab; Honors Study Abroad
