Overview

The Office of Institutional Research and Planning is comprised of three entities:

Mission

The Office of Institutional Research and Planning supports the mission of the College by:

  • providing accurate, timely, and reliable information to respond to the research needs of the various institutional constituencies;
  • stimulating research and creative activities by making researchers aware of funding opportunities, providing expertise on pre-award and post-award grant preparation and administration, and helping establish partnerships with public and private sector entities that benefit the students, faculty, and College;
  • facilitating the integration of assessment, planning, and institutional research to encourage continuous assessment and improvement of the College’s academic programs and administrative services.

Goals

The goals of the Office of Institutional Research and Planning are to:

  • provide information to support the College's planning, assessment, and reporting efforts.
  • provide assistance to faculty and staff with the preparation and submission of grant proposals to government agencies, corporations, and private foundations.
  • provide assistance to faculty and staff with grant stewardship/grant management.
  • Provide leadership and administrative support necessary for continuous monitoring of SAC’s compliance with the Principles of Accreditation of the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools in order to allow for maintenance of the College's accreditation.
