Saint Augustine's University Community Development Corporation (CDC) is one of the few HBCU CDCs selected to participate in the NeighborWorks America's community development project. The NeighborWorks America project will bring CDCs from various HBCUs together to focus on revitalizing communities surrounding HBCUs in the southern region of the east coast.

The goals of the partnership include: providing focused training and technical assistance, facilitating peer-to-peer arrangements between the selected HBCU CDCs and NeighborWorks affiliates and promoting joint ventures or mentor relationships between NeighborWorks affiliates and the HBCU CDCs.

The pilot is scheduled to launch in January of 2012.
