Wide receiver Brian Richards (R-Sr./Waldorf, Md.) broke the Saint Augustine’s University career receptions record against Bowie State University on Saturday, September 28, 2013, in Bowie Md.

Richards has 142 career receptions after catching six passes for 86 yards and one touchdown in the 35-7 win over the Bulldogs. The previous mark was 139 catches set by former All-American Tyron Laughinghouse in 2012. Laughinghouse surpassed former standout Jamian Smith, who had 137 receptions in 2011. The record has been snapped three times in three seasons.

Richards also holds the school single-season receptions record. He caught 63 passes as a redshirt sophomore in the 2011 season.
