Women’s History Month 2023
Greetings Falcons,
It’s Women’s History Month. Today we pause to acknowledge African American women. Moving forward, I’ll ask the question. What to the African American woman is Women’s History Month? Let me answer that question. The story of the African American woman is indeed the American story. We can’t touch one without touching the other. And when we examine the lives of African-American women, with all their complexities, the closer we can get to understanding American history.
So during Women’s History Month, let’s embrace and acknowledge the faces of African-American women, the many faces of African-American women. Let’s look at the lives of African American women as a symbol of the best of America, a symbol of hope and courage. Let’s also focus on her struggles and the hard-won victories of the African American woman in America. So again, I asked a question, what to the African American woman is Women’s History Month?
It’s her story. It’s her hope. It’s her legacy.
