Saint Augustine’s University to Implement a New Telephone System

The Center for Information Technology has announced that the University will implement a telephone system called VOIP. Some of the features include directory dialing, hot button programming, headsets for those who have already requested them, ability to know the status of the person you are calling prior to placing the call, conference calling and a message waiting indicator.

 

“We will go live Wednesday, November 6,” said Harod Demby, chief information officer.

Training will be conducted the week of Monday, October 28, Monday, November 4 and Tuesday November 5. The training locations will be Hunter 201, Boyer 005, Cheshire 108 and Benson 204. A detailed schedule will be provided at a later date.
