The Office of External Relations and the Office of Community Outreach and Volunteerism will sponsored Pink and Denim Day Friday, October 18, 2013 at noon.

“This year, we would like to make our “human” ribbon around the falcon on the football field for a photo,” said Ann Brown, director of the Office of Community Outreach and Volunteerism. “We need everyone’s support.”

According to Brown, Pink and Denim Day is in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Day. On the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc., one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime and breast cancer is the second leading cause of death among women.

“I am looking forward to seeing all Falcons on the football field Friday,” Brown said. “This is just our way of bring awareness to the fight against breast cancer.”
