SAU Student and Assistant Professor Featured in Black Oak Society Magazine
Artworks by SAU Visual Art Senior Ja’Darrin Pettiford and Assistant Professor of Visual Arts Linda Dallas are featured in the latest issue of Black Oak Society (BOS) Magazine. The magazine showcases the writing and artwork of Black creatives and celebrates Black Raleigh, past, present, and future. The theme of BOS Volume 6 is Black Power/Black Politics. A detail from Ja’Darrin’s infographic is pictured above. He was inspired to create this piece by his concern about policing in the City of Raleigh. His image explores how voting can have a positive impact on policing.
